"2026 so far has been an incredibly positive and productive period for the partnership, as Bristol BCRP grows in influence regionally and nationally.
"From representing Bristol at national retail crime discussions at The Shard (London) and at regional Counter Terrorism exercises, to leading South West BCRP collaboration and delivering our flagship Fight Back Against Retail Crime event, we have continued to strengthen intelligence sharing, collaboration, and business support across the city centre.
"We remain committed to contributing |
| |
to and supporting a safer, more resilient and well-connected city centre for our Bristol BID business community.” |

A message from Gareth Liggins, Deputy Manager – Safer Communities, Bristol City Council |

"The BCRP continues to demonstrate the impact of coordinated, city centre collaboration. The Council’s Safer Communities team is really pleased to be involved - through our operational arm and wider work on community safety initiatives.
"A great example of this partnership in action is the work of Lewis, who has been doing an excellent job responding to the fast-growing challenge of street‑based ASB. Lewis works very closely with Police as well as frontline |
| |
support agencies to resolve issues while ensuring vulnerable people receive the help they need.
"The partnership brings people together, aligns priorities, and allows us to deliver meaningful improvements for businesses, residents, and those in need of support. For ASB Awareness Week, we will continue building momentum through community safety
initiatives, including a Safer Places Scheme supporting businesses to help
those feeling vulnerable in Broadmead or Cabot Circus.
"We have already seen the benefits of this joined‑up approach through the success of the Night Rangers and our work with partners to support detached youth workers. Looking ahead, we are exploring future funding opportunities to strengthen initiatives like these, ensuring we can continue delivering a safer, more welcoming city centre for everyone."
